This museum is an artificial reef made of 403 human statues by the british sculptor Jasón deCaires Taylor. It was opened on November 26, 2010 with the aim of diverting the impact on the other reefs, promoting their regeneration and thus their conservation

Is Scuba Diving in Cancun Good?

Cancun offers magnificent diving sites characterized by splendid visibility, warm waters and a wide variety of exotic scenery, an unforgettable underwater experience is available for anyone.
All of our dive sites are inside the Federal Protected Area. With more than 30 dive sites the Cancun National Marine Park is the destination for many divers that repeat year after year, you will see snappers, barracudas, angel fish, turtles and many other species living in a amazing ecosystem, our certified staff of instructors know every inch of the coral reefs and have more than 30 years experience scuba diving in Cancun.

Is Scuba Diving Better in Cancun or Cozumel?

Cozumel has great dive sites, the coral formations down there are beautiful, however, if you are staying in Cancun we recommend you scuba dive in Cancun.
To dive in Cozumel from Cancun you will need a full day, early wake up call, 1.5 hour drive, 1 hour to cross to the island, more sailing time to the dive sites, 2 dives and then the way back all over again, if you want to make the most out of your Cancun vacations we recommend you make your dives locally

How Much Does It Cost To Go Scuba Diving in Cancun?

Scuba diving in Cancun has different prices, in Solo Buceo Dive Shop we have great deals, only 94 USD for the best diving for certified divers and 120 USD for beginners, including the class and 2 dives.
Right now we have a promotion when booking online, we will include all conservation, dock fees and full equipment rental.

How deep do you Scuba Dive in Cancun?

As you might know by now, Cancun offers different dive sites with different depths, from 30 ft (10 meters) in the Underwater Museum and reef dive to 84 ft (24 meters) in the Wreck dives, with reefs in between at 65 ft deep (16 meters)
