During the months of summer, on their long migration, the whale shark arrives to our waters to have a feast on plankton. Gathering in groups as large as 100 members, you can swim with these majestic fish as in few other places in the world.

Thanks to the clarity and warmth of the Caribbean, this is a show in which to marvel by their enormous dimensions (they can be up to 40ft long); their distinctive ""check board" white spots and wide mouths that are opened to swallow massive amounts of water at a time.

Due to their docile and peaceful nature, there is no risk to swim with them in a unique opportunity to interact with these magnificent giants in a serene and certainly unforgettable manner. This trip is highly recommended for underwater photographers and videographers. It is also suitable for the whole family since no scuba diving is done, only snorkeling.

In the winter months it is possible to take a snorkeling tour to observe the spectacular sailfish. These majestic animals reach our waters chasing the sardine migration which they feed on. By swimming with them you will only be inches away from the sailfish, right in the middle of their hunting dance. Being the fastest fish in the ocean, this activity will be filled with energy, adrenaline and beauty at its maximum splendor.

The area of sighting where the activity begins can quickly be identified by a dense congregation of frigatebirds flying near the water, seeking to eat the sardines that are pushed against the surface by groups of sailfish. Once in the water, you can appreciate the incredible hunting tactic in which the sailfish will take turns -changing color and raising their fins- to attack the sardines, hitting them quickly with their beaks and then swallowing them.

These magnificent fish are active at hunting from sunrise to sunset and our guests are welcome to enjoy this spectacle until they are fully satisfied. This trip is highly recommended for underwater photographers and videographers, as well as for open sea adventurers.
